Hemne Business Garden is located in the municipality of Hemne, about 100 km south west of Trondheim in the middle part of Norway. The municipality has 4500 inhabitants, and the small town Kyrksæterøra is the municipality centre with about 3000 inhabitants.
Hemne Business Garden is a business development centre based on network, cooperation and business cluster philosophy. The organisation is financed locally by the Hemne municipality and regionally by the Sør-Trøndelag county council. Most Business Gardens in Norway, have also national financing from SIVA, but Hemne Business Garden does not have this so fare. The company was founded in 2005, and in full operation since March 2007. Hemne Business Garden aims to be the growth centre in its local region and among the nearby communities. The objectives are to stimulate for growth among businesses by cooperation and common location based on a good environment for offices, physically and socially. Hemne Business Garden is also giving assistance to new entrepreneurs and can offer office space for small/single person companies in a start-up process as well as office space for other companies that see the benefit of being a part of a cluster.
Activities and services
· Project management and consultant services in project and process development
· Partner in international projects as part of the international development in the region and as a potential service to local and regional businesses. The service is based on international experience in general and from managing an INTERREG IIIC programme called AquaReg from 2003-2007
· Search, help and development to entrepreneurs and potential entrepreneurs
· Help and assistance to cluster/business garden companies for realisation of ideas or product/service development
· Consultant services to companies and businesses outside the cluster/business garden region if needed, and interesting in a broader network development
· Help and assistance in developing business plans, market analysis, financing, strategy, board management, business establishments etc.
· Help and assist in networking and external assistance for business development and strategic development
· Networking and assistance in finding/leasing the needed competence for development
· Securing of needed competence in the local region by activities in front of expansion
· Implement activities that secures cluster/business garden companies competitive offers for competence and relevant seminars etc
· Regional activities and cooperation for development and processes within a broad range of areas
· Arranging and administration/marketing/sales of seminars, congresses, conferences.
· Responsible for meetings, processes for project development etc.
· Lease of equipment and services in and outside of the cluster/business garden
· Incubator for new entrepreneurs, start pack and mentor programme
· Available offices for SMB’s including network, furniture
· Assist for financing and network for investment in project and company development

Hemne is located 100 km south west of Trondheim, the regional capital of the middle part of Norway. Hemne Business Garden is a cluster and cooperation sharing office location and facilities. Offices includes the municipality business develoment office, local industri forum, apprentices office, health and personal business office, accountant company, business auditors, lawyer office, office for teachers organisation, and a sales and marketing company. A training centre and a furniture shopping centre is also located in the same building.
